The workshop is alive this morning. At the centre of the floor, a welding machine is running at full speed, and every few seconds a shower of bright sparks bursts from the line where the steel wires cross. Around the machine, small metal scraps lie scattered on the ground, a familiar sight in any wire mesh factory, and a yellow safety sign on the wall reminds everyone to keep a safe distance. Beside the machine, a worker watches the line closely, checking every roll as it forms. This is the heart of our daily work, the place where a simple steel wire begins to take on the shape of a finished product.
The story of welded wire mesh starts long before the wire reaches this machine. We choose low-carbon steel wire of a consistent diameter, because the quality of the final mesh is decided from the very first raw material. The wire is drawn, straightened and fed into the automatic welding line, where the horizontal and vertical wires meet at right angles. At every single intersection, a strong electric current passes through the two wires in a fraction of a second, melting them together into a solid weld. This is what makes welded wire mesh different from woven mesh: the joints are permanent, so the finished panel holds its shape firmly even under heavy pressure or years of repeated use.
What we value most about this process is the balance of speed and precision. The machine works hour after hour, and every weld point is identical to the last one.
