Walk through our workshop on any given morning, and you will find the production floor already alive with activity. The process begins long before the first spark. High-quality steel wire arrives at our facility in large coils, each batch accompanied by material certificates confirming its chemical composition and tensile strength. Before production starts, the wire is loaded onto decoilers and fed through straightening mechanisms that remove any curvature or residual stress. This step is critical: even a slight bend can cause misalignment during welding, leading to uneven mesh openings or weak joints. Our operators set up each run carefully, because consistency at the start means consistency in the finished product.
Once the wire is threaded through the machine, the welding process begins. Longitudinal wires feed continuously from the back, while cross wires are automatically cut and positioned at precise intervals. At each intersection, copper electrodes clamp down and release a pulse of electric current. The resistance between the two wires generates localized heat, melting a small area at the contact point and fusing the wires together. The entire operation, from cutting to welding to advancing the mesh, is synchronized and automated, allowing the line to produce a steady stream of uniformly welded mesh at high speed. What looks like a blur of motion to the untrained eye is, in fact, a carefully choreographed sequence repeated thousands of times per hour.
The finished mesh is wound into rolls of standard or custom lengths, as seen in the lower portion of the photograph. Roll form is one of the key advantages of welded wire mesh: it is compact to transport, easy to handle on site, and can be unrolled and installed quickly over long stretches. For fencing projects, a single roll can cover tens of meters without the need for joining multiple panels. For concrete reinforcement, rolls can be cut to length on site and laid directly into formwork. We also offer cut-to-size panels for customers who require pre-measured pieces for cage manufacturing, shelving units, or machine guards.
